Empty can conveyor → can positioning and clamping → servo piston / rotor pump filling (no clogging with particles, suck-back prevents meat sticking and soup dripping) → can mouth vacuuming (extends shelf life, no preservatives needed) → double-roller double-seam sealing → finished can discharge.
Note: Unlike ordinary liquid screw caps, dog food cans use seam sealing (crimping the tinplate shut) with no threaded lid, relying on the can seaming head to roll the can body edge tight.
Servo Piston Filler (first choice): for cans with meat chunks/granules, precise metering at ±1%, smooth discharge of large particles, preventing crushing and breaking of meat.
Rotor Pump Filler: for fine meat paste and all-meat mousse dog food cans, with smooth discharge that does not string.
Small semi-automatic (small workshops): single-head filling + standalone can seamer, 15–35 cans/min, manual can placement.
Fully automatic inline integrated machine (small and medium factories): complete linked line, automatic can infeed, filling, and seaming, 40–60 cans/min.
Rotary high-speed integrated machine (mass production in large factories): turntable multi-head filling and seaming, 80–150 cans/min.
Raw material chopping and cooking kettle → feeding pump → filling and can seaming integrated machine → can washing and air drying → high-temperature sterilization retort (121℃ sterilization) → labeling → cartoning (canned products must be equipped with a sterilization retort to be stored at room temperature).
